As the company continues to develop its digital operations, we are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will help design, develop, maintain and improve the company’s websites, web applications, internal administration systems and digital platforms.
You will work closely with management and operational teams to understand real business requirements and convert them into practical, secure and scalable software solutions. These systems may support customer bookings, job management, scheduling, engineer and employee administration, online service delivery, payments, reporting and internal business processes.
The role will include front-end and back-end development, database management, third-party API integrations, payment gateway integrations, booking and job-management systems, user authentication, testing, debugging, deployment and technical documentation.

Main responsibilities
Design, develop, test and maintain web applications and internal business systems.
Develop back-end functionality using PHP and the Laravel framework.
Build responsive and user-friendly interfaces using JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
Develop or maintain applications using React or React Native where required.
Design and manage MySQL or similar relational databases.
Develop secure REST APIs and integrate third-party services.
Build and improve booking, scheduling, job-management and customer-management systems.
Develop administration dashboards for managing customers, employees, jobs, applications and business operations.
Implement secure authentication, user roles and permission controls.
Integrate payment gateways and manage payment-related application functionality.
Use Git and GitHub for source control, branching, code reviews and deployment management.
Test applications, identify bugs and deliver reliable fixes.
Maintain and improve existing websites and software systems.
Review application performance, security and usability.
Prepare technical documentation for systems, features and deployment processes.
Work with non-technical management to understand business requirements.
Provide technical guidance and recommend suitable software solutions.
Support application deployment, maintenance and ongoing improvements.
Required skills and experience
Experience in software engineering, web development or a closely related role.
Strong experience with PHP and the Laravel framework.
Good knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
Experience with MySQL or another relational database system.
Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
Understanding of front-end and back-end web development.
Experience using Git and GitHub for version control.
Ability to design secure authentication and user-role systems.
Strong testing, debugging and problem-solving skills.
Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
Ability to manage development tasks independently and meet agreed deadlines.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related subject, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred skills
Experience with React or React Native.
Experience developing booking, scheduling or job-management platforms.
Experience building administration dashboards and internal business systems.
Experience integrating payment gateways such as Stripe or PayPal.
Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Azure or similar platforms.
Experience with Linux servers, hosting environments and application deployment.
Knowledge of Java, C#, Python, C++ or other programming languages.
Experience with automated testing and continuous integration.
Understanding of web application security and data protection.
Experience maintaining production websites and resolving live technical issues.
Familiarity with mobile application development.
Experience integrating email, notification, mapping or communication services.
